Abstract
Superconductivity has played a major role in the development of useful new methods for standards and measurements, particularly for dc and high‐frequency instruments and for thermometry. In this paper we speculate on future activities in this field including the development of commercial instruments, the improvement of devices for standards laboratories and the adaptation of some of these systems to small refrigerators. Keywords
