Abstract
The serum-Ca varied from 12.4 to 18.6 mgm. %. When the animals were starved for 16 hrs. before the sample of blood was taken, the serum-Ca varied from 12.3 to 15.3 mgm;. Two hrs. after feeding cabbage.,to rabbits (fasted for 16 hrs.) there was an average rise of 1-8 mgm. % while dry oats caused an average fall of 0.62 mgm. The urine from rabbits on a cabbage diet was strongly alkaline and contained much Ca, while that from an oat diet was acid and contained considerable P but little Ca.This publication has 4 references indexed in Scilit:
