Metabolic Response of Dogs to Hypoxia in the Absence of Circulating Epinephrine and Norepinephrine

Abstract
The importance of epinephrine and norepinephrine in the etiology of the metabolic effects of hypoxia is emphasized by the observation that dogs incapable of releasing these substances showed significantly less change in blood lactate and potassium during forced ventilation with 2.7% oxygen than did control dogs.
