Abstract
Because existing methods for the determination of 5-hydroxymethyl-2-furaldehyde in honey were found to be unsatisfactory, a method that involves the use of column adsorption with activated charcoal for clean-up and determination by either a visual or spectrophotometric colorimetric method has been devised. It has been found to be adequate in respect of precision and accuracy. Keywords
