Abstract
The power density distribution and the input admittance of the microwave oven are evaluated theoretically. The experimental results for the power density distribution show a good agreement with the calculated values. In a domestic microwave oven cavity over ten propagating modes and an infinite number of non-propagating modes exist, so the pattern of the power density distribution becomes very complicated. Here, calculations are performed by taking all modes into consideration. Keywords
