PLASTIC surgery of the nose has been subdivided into corrective and reconstructive rhinoplasty.Corrective RhinoplastyFor years surgeons not familiar with corrective rhinoplasty have tended to scoff at cosmetic work as unimportant and beneath a surgeon's dignity. As all surgery has become more sophisticated, the artistic demand of this type of work is becoming better understood and consequently more respected.Corrective rhinoplasty involves the reduction and reshaping of a nose that is usually within normal limits.
