Abstract
The advantages of placing incisions within or parallel to the crease pattern of the face are described. Elective incisions that have survived the test of time are presented as they may be applied to the excision of superficial and underlying facial neoplasms and the external reduction of facial fractures, and rhytidectomy in the various regions of the face. Keywords
