Abstract
Layer-by-layer assembly of multilayer films was realized by means of alternate adsorption of positively charged globular proteins (myoglobin or lysozyme) and anionic poly(styrenesulfonate). Regular growth during at least 20 alternate adsorption cycles was proved by means of UV spectroscopy and quartz crystal microbalance. Superlattices containing alternate layers of both myoglobin and lysozyme were similarly prepared. Keywords
