Abstract
Summary The entire usnic acid molecule is involved in its action against the tubercle bacillus since any major alteration in the molecule markedly reduced or destroyed the activity. This is in marked contrast to the equal activity previously demonstrated for stereoisomeric usnic acids.Keywords
