Abstract
The 1st case of human infection by Corynebacterium pseudotuberculosis is reported. The clinical picture consisted of fatigue, muscular aches, tenderness and enlargement of the liver, and localized lymphadenopathy. Conclusive bacteriologic identification of the microorganism was established in specimens obtained by lymph node aspiration and surgical excision of the involved lymph node. Examination of the involved lymph node revealed a pathologic process manifested by focal areas of chronic inflammation, with nesta of epithelioid cells surrounded by fibroblastic reaction, leading to a chronic sclerosing lymphadenitis. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
