Abstract
The renal excretion of digitoxin in the rat after intraven. injn. of moderate (100 [mu]g./ kg.) and large (1000 [mu]g./kg.) doses of digitoxin was measured by means of the embryonic duck heart method. No detectable digitoxin (i.e., less than 1 [mu]g./24 hrs.) appeared within 72 hrs. following a moderate dose. An avg. of 6 [mu]g. was excreted during the first hrs. following the large dose, and none thereafter for 72 hrs. Keywords
