Abstract
In some of rats given injections of estradiol for the first 30 postnatal days, persistent epithelial proliferation, culminating in stratification and cornification, was induced in the uteri and vaginae. The changes were not abolished by later ovariectomy, or hypophysectomy followed by ovariectomy or ovariectomy plus adrenalectomy. Therefore, they were independent of estrogen stimulation and irreversible. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
