Abstract
The metabolic products of P. crateriforme, when grown at 24[degree] on Czapek-Dox solution containing glucose as sole source of carbon, have been investigated. Spiculisporic acid (C17H28O6, the [gamma]-lactone of [gamma]-hydroxy-[beta][delta]-dicarboxypentadecanoic acid) previously described as a metabolic product of P. spiculi-sporum Lehman, succinic acid and a complex polysac-charide, which is being further investigated, were isolated. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
