Abstract
In plasmas, atomic-line radiation is influenced by static and high-frequency fields. The authors discuss a simple method of calculating the Stark profiles of the Balmer alpha and beta lines for the case of one-dimensional fields. Using a Holtsmark field for the static component, the resulting profile of Balmer alpha shows a splitting of the satellites. Keywords
