Three New Species of Ixodes from Mexico and Description of the Male of I. auritulus auritulus Neumann, I. conepati Cooley and Kohls, and I. lasallei Mendez and Ortiz (Acarina: Ixodidae)

Abstract
Described are Ixodes cuernavacensis female, from white-naped swift, Streptoprocne semi-collaris, Cuernavaca, Morelos; I. sinaloa , female, from the spiny pocket mouse, Liomys pictus escuinapae, near San Ignacio, Santa Lucia, and Copala, Sinaloa, and from the rice rat, Oryzomys palustris mexi-canus, near Tepic, Nayarit; and I. tamaulipas , female, from a squirrel, Sciurus deppei negligens, Rancho del Cielo, Tamaulipas. The male of I. auritulus auritulus is described from a specimen, host or source unknown, Rio El Ganso, Magallanes, Chile. The male of I. conepati is described from a specimen from the rock squirrel, Citellus variegatus, and others from caves and animal burrows in Texas and New Mexico. The male of I. lasallei is described from a specimen from the paca Agouti paca, Rio Terribe, Bocas del Toro. Panama.This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
