Abstract
A completely local and highly sensitive anti-androgen assay employing the chick comb has been described. Testosterone dissolved in oil was applied in daily volumes of 0.005 ml to one side of the comb by means of microsyringe. The anti-androgen, A-norprogesterone, in a similar volume of sesame oil was inuncted daily on the other side of the comb. After 7 days of treatment, the chick comb weights increased directly with the quantity of androgen applied and were inhibited from responding to the androgen in a direct relationship to the dose of A-norprogesterone.Keywords
