Detection of Surface-Wave Three-Phonon Interaction

Abstract
The resultant surface phonon generated by the interaction of two noncollinear surface phonons has been detected on the (111) face of a single-crystal copper sample. Detection was accomplished by optical probing of the two primary surface waves and the resultant phonons generated in the interaction.Keywords
