Abstract

A mixed solvent system was devised which gave highly concentrated but stable solutions of bacteriochlorophyll suitable for ¹³C n.m.r. spectroscopy. Most of the resonances were unambiguously assigned using conventional methods augmented by the use of the power spectrum display mode.
