Abstract
The authors present, compare, and contrast several neurocontrol systems for controlling and optimizing the manufacture of thermoplastic composite structures. Attention is given to direct-inverse neurocontrol for manufacturing and adaptive-critic-based manufacturing neurocontrol. In particular, adaptive critic neurocontrol systems that are capable of online learning and process optimization have been demonstrated in simulation. Keywords
