The Chemical Composition of the Essential Leaf Oil ofHelichrysum odoratissimumSweet from Zimbabwe

Abstract
The essential oil of Helichrysum odoratissimum Sweet from Zimbabwe obtained by hydrodistillation of the fresh leaves was analyzed by GC/MS. Sixty-four compounds could be identified with α-pinene (15.0%), α-humulene (13.0%), β-caryophyllene (9.6%), elemol (8.7%), β-himachalene (8.2%) and 1,8-cineole (7.7%) as main components.
