Abstract
Cysteine, given to bacterial cells immediately before radiation, partly protects the culture from irradiation injury. Other SH-containing chemicals act similarly, but not related chemicals without a sulphydryl group. Cysteine, injected into the skin of guinea pigs, prevents epilation more or less after doses which without cysteine treatment result in epilation.Keywords
