Abstract
Results are discussed from experiments involving the charge-exchange scattering of pions produced in slow-negative-kaon capture. From these, it is shown that pion charge exchange following slow- nucleon capture cannot invalidate the conclusions drawn in recent experiments that there exists a neutron halo in the fringe of heavy nuclei.
