Abstract
A microwave or laser resonator with flat-roof mirrors is discussed from a theoretical point of view. When the angle of the roof is extremely small, on the order of 10−3 rad for microwaves or 10−3–10−6 rad for optics, this resonator has some features in common with the confocal resonator. Keywords
