Abstract
The rate of development of marginal leaf blight caused by Pseudomonas marginalis in different lettuce cultivars was assessed quantitatively using a susceptibility index. Considerable differences were recorded, and it is suggested that selection of a variety with low susceptibility may be useful for reducing disease losses of lettuce crops. Keywords
