Abstract
Design and construction details are discussed for a dc current control system capable of a short term stability of a few parts in 106 and a long term stability of ∼2 parts in 105 when used in conjunction with conventional rotating dc generators powering loads with time constants of approximately 200 msec at levels up to 7.5 MW. Actual performance of the system at various power levels is discussed. Keywords
