Abstract
A premolar from a 10-year-old boy was transplanted to the lower jaw of a 7-lb male rhesus monkey. Ten months after transplantation, the tooth was still in perfect functional condition. There was evidence of ankylosis, and the surrounding gingival tissue was healthy. Keywords
