Abstract
Adverse reactions to aminophylline are usually manifested by the toxic effects of theophylline on the gastrointestinal, cardiac and CNS. Reactions to its ethylenediamine component are less commonly encountered. A man who had severe exfoliative erythroderma after i.v. administration of aminophylline for respiratory disease is presented. Apparently, the reaction was a cell-mediated hypersensitivity to ethylenediamine. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
