Abstract
The purpose of this study was to test the independent effects of expec tancy work motivation, the allied concepts of central life interests and voluntarism, and personal and environmental variables on two dependent variables. Strong support was found for the prediction of teacher job satisfaction. Less support was found for the prediction of perceived performance. Keywords
