Abstract
Chaptalia nutans (L.) Volak. (Compositae) contains much prunasin in leaves. The species is strongly cyanophoric and must be regarded as a toxic plant. Chaptalia nutans is the first member of the predominantly southern hemisphere tribe Mutisieae from which cyanogenic compounds have been isolated. The systematic meaning of our finding is shortly discussed. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
