Abstract
The photoconductivity action spectrum of PTS consists of an intrinsic region in the blue and an extrinsic region in the red. The latter is due to defect excitation followed by ionization. The absorption profile is Gaussian with a width of 0.24 eV and a peak at hw = 1.75 eV. A kinetic analysis shows that defects must also be responsible for darkconductivity although its activation energy is about half of the band‐gap. No indication of carrier generation via host excitons is found. Keywords
