Abstract
Alginic acid, which occurs in the free state in the cell wall, yields mannuronic acid on hydrolysis. The quinine salt of the latter acid is described. On oxidation with nitric acid, alginic acid yields mannosaccharic acid. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
