Abstract
We show that the nonrelativistic limit of the λ theory is trivial in 1+3 dimensions; the renormalized coupling constant vanishes and the S matrix reduces to the unit matrix. Our result is consistent with, though not sufficient to establish, the triviality of the Lorentz-invariant theory.
