Congenital Atriomegaly

Abstract
Two unique patients, ages 7 and 11, are reported demonstrating left atriomegaly due to enlargement or dilatation of the atrial appendage. In one, enlargement was extreme requiring surgical correction. Intraventricular conduction abnormalities and other associated congenital cardiovascular defects were present in both and support the belief of a congenital origin of the atriomegaly. A definite diagnosis was established by cardiac catheterization and angiocardiography.
