Abstract
Different patterns of acid alpha-naphthyl-acetate esterase (ANAE) positivity in lymphocytes have been related to distinct functional lymphocyte subpopulations. A case of T-ALL with a cytochemical and immunological phenotype consistent with a T-suppressor cell leukemia is reported. In particular a specific pattern of Golgi-ANAE positivity is probably characteristic of TG cells, which include a subset with suppressor function. Keywords
