Abstract
The structure factor of liquid aluminium is calculated in the optimised random-phase approximation. The effective pair potential is obtained with Shaw's model-potential form factor including the contribution from the effective masses and the exchange and correlation corrections. The choice of the latter corrections is found to be particularly important at low q.Keywords
