Zytologische Untersuchungen an der Thioacetamid-geschädigten Rattenleber

Abstract
Cytologic studies on liver cells of rats poisoned with thioacetamide disclosed in addition to the well-known increase of nuclear volume extrusion of the nucleoli into the cytoplasm. The sequelae of this extrusion is demonstrated. The biological significance of the observation for regeneration of liver cells is discussed and their possible correlation to amitotic cell division is pointed out.
