Abstract
Magnetic fields in the range 100-200 T are generated in lightweight coils with an inner diameter between 2.5 and 10 mm. The rise time to peak field is 2 mu s. Special design features of the 20 kV, 55 kJ capacitor bank facilitate the application to experiments. Thin-walled coils made of dense, ductile material give superior performance in this field range. Keywords
