Abstract
After a discussion of the literal meanings of the terms and of the historical sequence of the development of the various branches of botanical science, there is recognized its division by Tschulok into taxonomy, morphology, physiology, ecology, chorology, chronology, and genetics. Geobotany (plant ecology or plant geography) presents 3 groups of problems: space, habitat, and change, with 2 approaches for each, individual and associational; and hence the combination results in 6 branches of geobotany: autochorological geobotany, autecological geobotany, autogenic geobotany, chorological sociology, ecologic sociology, and genetic sociology. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
