Abstract
A modification of Gill''s (1964) indirect hemagglutination test for detecting Trypanosoma evansi antibody in experimental sera, using formolised tanned sheep cells, is described. The modified test proved somewhat less sensitive than the original procedure. It has the advantage, however, of allowing the use of cells which could be preserved for over a year at about 4[degree]C, and which were less fragile that the Alsever-preserved cells used in the original test. The test proved more sensitive than the complement-fixation test. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
