Abstract
The role of O2 in tumor response to therapy was studied for several decades. A technique is described that allows in vivo measurement of O2 in tumors using computed tomography to guide probes. In the evaluation of 16 tumors, O2 tensions were found to be substantially lower than surrounding tissue and varied nonrandomly. This technique has allowed construction of detailed tumor O2 level maps. This publication has 10 references indexed in Scilit:
