Abstract
In thin-layer chromatography, solvent vapour plays an important role. To obtain full benefit of the influence of vapour in the technique, a new chamber has been developed, providing full vapour control over the entire plate. This allows better separations of chemically related compounds. The properties of the vapour-control chamber are shown in separations of barbiturates and local anaesthetics. Keywords
