Abstract
SUMMARY: Three cases of sarcoidosis involving the brain in the region of the hypothalamus are described. The lesions caused markedly different disturbances of hypothalamic‐pituitary function, ranging from anterior and posterior pituitary failure to a pure hypothalamic syndrome. Two patients had signs indicative of an intracranial space‐occupying lesion. Corticosteroid therapy was used in two cases, and produced remissions of diabetes insipidus which have lasted for six years. This publication has 17 references indexed in Scilit:
