Abstract
Human insulin suitable for injn. into patients was prepd. from 50 pancreases obtained at autopsy. The insulin was assayed in mice and rabbits. The yield was approx. 50 U. per pancreas or 0.62 U./g. The avg. yield per g. was much less than that reported by others, and the difference is ascribed to the debilitated condition at death of the subjects from which the pancreases were obtained. Keywords
