Abstract
All-optical multi-functional logic gates by using the gain nonlinearity characteristics of cross-gain modulation in semiconductor optical amplifiers (SOAs) have been demonstrated. Using three SOAs, all-optical multi-functional logic gates for the simultaneous operations of AND, NOR and XNOR at 10 Gbit/s were successfully demonstrated. Keywords
