Abstract
It is shown that phase demodulation of complex SAR data in two dimensions is problematical since ambiguities in the phase arise from the presence of zeros in the intensity. A procedure for obtaining meaningful SAR phase imagery is presented and illustrated with an example from SEASAT.Keywords
