Inangahua magnetic anomaly, New Zealand

Abstract
The inferred source of the Inangahua Magnetic Anomaly is a cone-shaped body centred at a depth of 12-20 km, with a base diameter of at least 20 km and a volume of (1.6-3.3) X 103 km3, It is normally magnetised with an intensity of between 9 and 22 Alm. Lamprophyre dikes which crop out in the lower Buller River valley may originate from this source body. Several other lamprophyre dike swarms of similar age, in the South Island, are also associated with similar magnetic anomalies.
