Abstract
Data on the Kβ spectra for several compounds of silicon, aluminum, and sulfur are shown. The intensity of the Kβ′ line is affected not by the kinds of thrid-period atoms, but by their charges and by the kinds of ligand atoms. The degree of the contribution of each bonding group to the relative intensity of the Kβ′ line and to the chemical shift of the Kα1,2 lines are shown; they have additivity in the molecule. Therefore, the chemical shift of the Kα1,2 lines can be estimated from the molecular structural formula; the charge of the atom can also be estimated. This publication has 13 references indexed in Scilit:
