Abstract
The electrical resistivity rho , thermal conductivity kappa , thermopower S and thermoelectric ratio G have been measured in the range 40 mK to 6K in samples of nominally pure palladium before and after annealing in air. The electrical resistivity fits rho = rho 0+AT2 above 0.5K. Below 0.5K, rho decreases more rapidly with T than this equation implies. S similarly shows anomalies in the same temperature region. kappa is accurately linear from 50 mK up to the maximum temperature at which measurements were taken. The Wiedemann-Franz law is obeyed within the experimental error of 2% throughout. Annealing in air has a marked effect on all the parameters. Keywords
