Abstract
The branching ratios for the reactions are compared with those for the reactions. Certain of these deuteron branching ratios are shown to be independent of hyperon-nucleon final state interaction and are inconsistent with the proton branching ratios. The most likely explanation of the discrepancy is the presence of an isospin zero resonance a few Mev below the threshold. This resonance is consistent with the () set of scattering lengths determined by Dalitz and Tuan.
