Abstract
The use of an electroabsorption modulator for the optical distribution of pictures at 2.048 Mbits/s in a DBPSK format with a radio drop at 38 GHz is reported. A distribution distance of 20 km is demonstrated and no significant degradation of the BER is observed until 10 km. The bit rate limit of the system is also considered in ASK format. Keywords
